Red dots with Holosun K-series footprint

The K-series footprint, the 407K, 507K & EPS Footprint, or properly the Holosun K-series footprint, exists since Holosun introduced the first 407K red dot model. And since then they used it on number of other red dots, and the number is expanding. 

You can find full size as well as compact size red dots that will work with footprint. In this category you will find them all - all red dots that use the Holosun K-series footprint.

That means that all red dots in this category will work on red dot mount or plate that uses the K-series footprint.  

Why is footprint important?

Because footprint determines the compatibility of the red dot. 

If you want to install a red dot to your pistol - wheter it is optics ready pistol or classic pistol - you need to know what footprint does the red dot have. Based on the footprint you will be able to find matching adapter plate [for Optics Ready models] or adapter mount [for classic models]. 

Which brands use the Holosun K-series footprint?

Although most of the time you will find many manufacturers using footprints that were originally developed by another brand (such as Trijicon RMR footprint or Shield RMSc footprint), the K-series footprint is so far only used by Holosun. 

Can you mount red dot with Holosun K-series footprint to your gun? 

That depends whether or not there is existing optics ready plate or red dot mount for that very gun, and for the specific footprint. 

Just remember that

• optics ready plates are designed for Optics Ready guns, and
• red dot mounts are designed for classic guns and work as a replacement of rear sight.
